Call for Papers
The submission of abstracts to SATS/SCANSECT/SATNU is now closed!
You are kindly invited to submit abstracts describing research work that you wish to present
at First Joint Scandinavian Conference in Cardiothoracic Surgery, either orally or as a poster.
We specifically invite our young colleagues, surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses and perfusionists to submit an abstract.
The Scientific Committee will review all abstracts.
Guidelines for submission of Abstracts
Submission is only possible online through this web page and should be written in English.
Authors are responsible for spelling and grammar.
Abstracts sent by e-mail, fax or mail will not be accepted.
Please read the guidelines below carefully before submitting your abstract.
Abstract submission notifications: June 2009
Authors presenting abstracts should register to the conference immediately after receipt of letter of acceptance.
- You can choose one of the following auditoriums SATS, SCANSECT or SATNU.
- The abstract title should contain maximum 100 characters and should be entered in the "title field".
- The abstract text should contain maximum 250 words.
- The abstract should be informative, containing: a) a statement of the study's objectives; b) a brief statement of methods if relevant; c) a summary of the results obtained and d) a statement of the conclusions reached.
- Please avoid references.
- Single space all text and do not leave blank lines. Use standard abbreviations. Place a special or unusual abbreviation in parenthesis after the full word the first time it appears. Use generic names of drugs and write numbers as numerals rather than words.
Replacing/correcting an already submitted abstract
Authors can log in to their personal page, right up to the submission deadline, and alter or replace their abstract with a more recent version.
Publication of abstracts
All accepted abstracts will be published in the Final Programme and Abstract book.
Processing and publication of personal data
The personal information we receive from participants will also be required after the conference. This is in order to render an account of the conclusions arrived at during the conference, for statistical purposes, and for the dispatch of information on relevant conference in the future.
Personal data will also, if accepted by you, be released to other companies participating in the conference for the distribution of information and offers directly from them.
